Automated Greenhouse System
Managing crops has never been easier, now that everything is at the tip of the farmer's fingertips. The introduction of automated greenhouse systems has made crop management efficient without needing to be at the site in person. In addition to shielding your plants from adverse weather, greenhouses enable constant monitoring and management of your interior growth environment.
There are three types of automated greenhouse systems provided by Nebula which are Fertigation Manager, Ozone Pro Water Treatment System, and Climate Manager. All these aids in efficient crop management without extensive labor from the farmer's end.
In the Philippines, agriculture has been on the move to modernization. According to an article by Alimondo (2019) entitled “First automated greenhouse launched,” the Philippines and South Korea inaugurated the nation's first automated greenhouse on March 8, 2019, with a formal harvesting of premium tomatoes as a means of modernizing agriculture. Situated at the Bureau of Plant Industry (BPI) complex in Baguio City, the Smart Greenhouse Philippines Project was founded with the support of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (Koica) and the Korea Agency of Education, Promotion, and Information Service (Epis). The project, according to Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol, is the first of its kind in the nation and aims to use greenhouse technology to boost small and mid-sized farmers' competitiveness and raise their income. During the opening event, Piñol stated, "We are witnessing the transformation of Philippine agriculture into smart agriculture."
Incorporating fertilizer through irrigation no longer requires manual labor like all other crop management. With fertigation manager, fertigation would be distributed and controlled among all the crops, the automated distribution system taking into account the weather and soil conditions.
With its comprehensive computer automation software and instrumentation, the Fertigation Manager is a greenhouse fertigation machine that provides some of the most cutting-edge greenhouse irrigation systems available. Farmers rely on these fertilizer systems to water vegetable and flower crops on a regular basis, based on soil conditions or weather patterns. A single centralized fertigation computer for precisely controlled irrigation feed formulas enables the producer to produce great flower and vegetable crops with the greenhouse irrigation system.
Ozone Pro Water Treatment System
Ozone Pro Water Treatment System goes hand in hand with Fertigation Manager, as this water treatment system uses the water used for fertigation and automatically removes the impurities in it and infuses oxygen in order to produce clean water that will be distributed to the crops.
Climate Manager
As the name itself suggests, Climate Manager controls the distribution of heating and cooling amongst the crops, ventilation, lighting, and other external factors that would usually affect the growth of the crops, allowing the crops to grow in a controlled environment.
